![]() ![]() If the BBC Archive records count as bootlegs, there's a 19 BBC collection of the Floyd playing about 6 songs each on John Peel's show. I believe it's a soundboard recording, but I don't recall this one well offhand. I think I have a 1971-era bootleg called "Live in Rome" which has some Atom Heart Mother / More content like a long version of Cymbaline. That recording has a sweet version of the first two songs on Obscured by Clouds and a cool version of Dark Side of the Moon and Echoes, but has audience noise like the screaming guy and also someone belches really loudly near the start of the album. ![]() ![]() There's one called Yeeshkul!, which is so-named because some dude in the audience keeps screaming nonsense words like "Yeeshkul". They're kind of noisy, but it's cool to hear what's basically some would-have-could-have-been versions of Delicate Sound of Thunder and PULSE.Īnd I have some bootlegs of 1970-1973 era Floyd, but those recordings are often noiser as well. Then I've heard okay bootlegs of the 19 post-Waters tours. One of them is actually the infamous Animals concert where Roger flipped out about fans launching fireworks and later spit on a fan. They're noisier than the 1975 one I mentioned, but they're not bad. I've stumbled across a few audience recordings of the 1977 Animals tour. It's a really clear soundboard recording which starts with Raving and Drooling and You Gotta Be Crazy, then all of WYWH, all of DSotM, and a version of Echoes with a saxophone solo. I've heard an awesome one called "Echoes in the Garden" that was from Boston in about 1975. ![]()
